Last month our Events Team host a forum competition for a Valentines Composition. There were any entries and all of them were very well written and showed a great deal of personality, and creative
thought.
Ralkal, Bob, has won the Valentines Master/Mistress of Love competition, Well done to Bob.
There was a tie for 2nd place between King of Alba, Mechachomp and Mega_Rune400

History behind your name?
My first name is Ege, and last name is Kalay. Back in the day, I didn't know what to put as my username. So I decided to put my first name, then my last name. Then added "Can" because I wanted to
prove everyone that I actually "can"
What brought you to RuneHQ?
I remember it like yesterday. I was killing level 12 zombies in Draynor. There was another guy there too. I asked him if he could help me with "Ernest the Chicken" quest, and he told me RuneHQ.
After a year of using RuneHQ, I joined the forums, because I was a warlord of a clan and had to do some war stuff. Then, with the help of a girl, I became active in Submissions board, and now I'm
here!
What do you earn/gain from being on staff?
Besides annoying our adorable leader, Edd? Well, being a staff is SO fun. I guess I earn lots of love and gain photoshop/coding skills.
What made you want to become a staff member?
I have never submitted an application. I was just spamming the Submission board, then I have recieved a PM about it. I, of course didn't reject and accepted.
Favorite areas of the forum?
Submission Board, fortunately.
Favorite skill in RuneScape?
Hunter!
How long have you been playing Runescape?
For almost 4 years now.
Describe a memorable moment of your RS life.
There are a lot of things..But just to name one, I can never forget the day I and two other friends went to Bandos. We couldn't find a Lootshare world so we killed it in a Non-Lootshare world. We
first used world 166, world 166 is my homeworld, one of my friends died there. Then we hopped to world 89, 89 is the homeworld of that friend who died in my home world. I died there. Then we hopped
to world 98, and that is the home world of the other friend. Noone died there, but I still find it odd.
Describe yourself in one word?
Weird.
Hobbies?
Playing basketball, RuneScape, singing, hanging out with my friends.
What are your talents?
Being weird, sometimes.. Oh and singing.

Welcome to RuneHQ! We have recently upgraded to IPB 3. We will be adding skins, fixing problems, and getting functionality close to how it was before.
From the user-side of things, there is a new reputation system to rate each post on an individual basis. The aggregate of these post ratings for each user shows up in his profile showing who our
users feel is providing the best post quality. Another feature called friendly URLs makes it easier for remembering the specific address of a page on the forums. Instead of needing to remember the
index.php?showtopic=234234, you will only need to remember the title of the topic. Private Messages (PMs) also are receiving a makeover to act more like topics instead of individual messages. Now
you will be able to read all previous messages without the need to endlessly quote each other just to remember what the discussion was about. A slightly new layout, new forum skins, and increased
security, among many, many other changes, should prove to alter our community for the best. This upgrade was done to benefit the site and the way that our community interacts. We hope you enjoy all
of the new features and the appearance. Our staff has work many long hours to bring you the best forum format. Enjoy

We recently had the opportunity for another interview from Jagex! This time we were given the chance to ask a few questions to
the developer of the recent The Temple at Senntisten quest. They also graciously presented us with a few concept images to go along with the quest and a few from the holiday event (linked at the

RuneHQ Mentor Program
What is it? Well let me tell you.
RuneHQ would like to offer our vast knowledge of the Runescape experience to aid you in your gaming. The RS Mentor Program focuses in assisting you in a number of areas such as:
Skill Development
Minigames
Quest Help
Game Orientation
As well as anything someone would like to learn in the game, but maybe unsure of or needing advise.
In addition the RS Mentors are able to help out with Heros quest for anyone who has trouble finding a partner.
RS Mentor Progam is available in RuneHQ IRC chat every Friday from 2-5 central time. Hope to see you there.
The Events Team not only got some much-needed new members in January, but they also had a hugely successful month of very high level events. With visits to every god's sector of the God Wars
Dungeon, it was never going to be an easy task; however, the team, with help from Deb and Steve, managed to cope and stay alive (most of the time). With our new members, namely Crablogger, Wolfee,
Cowlover and Jesse, we were able to pull off a great success where we thought there could have been great loss and lots of dejected members.
With splits from multiple hilts, shards, tassets, spears, boots and daggers a lot of people left the events very happy and also very rich. This is something a lot of people are happy to do again in
the future and which we are also more than happy to do again so look out.
Our Forum caption competition also brought up some very funny quotes with KingofSentinels, Johnnybondo1, DarkBlitz and Cowlover, who had entered the competition prior to joining the team, fighting
it out as the individuals winners vying for the title of No.1 caption King.
This months signature contest winner is non others then Databateman. Congrats Databateman and nice work!
We are setting on a new idea for selecting the theme every month. Check out the Signature of the month forums for more details.
Its a new year, and I'm looking back at the contests last year and thinking, is this really going the way we want it? Is everything as good as it can be, or can we make it better? So for the month

History behind your name?
Well, I am a huge fan of the cartoon show, Ed Edd N Eddy. So I decided to base my name on one of the main characters, Edd or more commonly known as Double D. So I decided to merge those two to
create my screen name, Double D Edd or Double_D_Edd (if spaces are not allowed on forums and such)
What brought you to RuneHQ?
My brother introduced me to the game and suggested I check out RuneHQ when it was formerly known as RuneScape Central. I wasn't very active on the forums/site because I wasn't a RuneScape member
and didn't play much. I think my brother quit playing the game once I passed him in many skills XD. He hates accepting defeat, just like me
What do you earn/gain from being on staff?
I've (hopefully) gained the trust of my team members (the admins/owners) and the rest of RHQ staff. I even made many friends - some of them who are very close to me.
What made you want to become a staff member?
I wanted to offer my services to our community, get to know other members and the staff, and help out our members in any way possible.
Favorite areas of the forum?
Does IRC count? XD Okay, besides that, I love the General Category boards such as Community and Forum Games. I drop by the Fakes board to see if anyone has posted any good ones because they make me
smile sometimes

Can I put down two? :o Thieving and Mining. All your money belongs to me!!!!
What is your favorite food?
Ohh man, I could give you a list of my favorite foods, but the one I love the most is the classic spaghetti and meatballs. You haven't lived till you tried my mom's recipe

It was the time I got 4 99s in one hit - Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints. I jumped from 122 F2P to 124 F2P combat

Uhh... adaptive?

Purple - it's my favorite color
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be an angel... oh wait, I already am! Well, I'd like to be in an executive position at some point in the next 10-15 years. Yeah, I know I've got a long way to go
