For all helping me by either assisting with pictures, submitting information, or just being plain supportive!
This guide is based on F2P fighting, but I have put some member tips in as well.
WARNING!!!!! This is not a safe activity, if you die, and there is a very good chance of it if you are lower level, you WILL lose all but your 3 most expensive items. These are the F2P equivalent of dragons!!! Be prepared to risk it though, because if you are careful, the risk is almost nil.
The Cockroach Soldiers I talk about killing in my guide are level 83 combat, and can hit a max of 8 with melee, and have a range attack with a 10 max hit. They are very resilient against magic, so the only spells you should even consider casting on it are, Curse (Lowers def 5%) Confuse (Lowers attack 5%) and Weaken (Lowers Strength 5%). Even these are not suggested, because they make very little difference in the long run. For the amounts of money I list here, you must kill these creatures for about four hours a day, for a week. This is a total of 28 hours!!! I know it is a long time, but it is worth it in experience, as well as the memory of have 80+ rune scimitars in your bank.
If you want to camp out here, (Lowers amount of money you make, but you can still make 1 mil in a week easily) you should bring a fire staff, and about 100 nature runes, depending how long you will be staying. This is not suggested, but I will post a list of what to alch shortly. Most of the items that the roaches drop either stack, or are worth more to sell, and you should go through your food before you have to worry about more inventory space. The fact that a bank is a mere 20 seconds away, if you walk, also helps me flavor my opinion in whether to alch or not.
Things you need.
For both methods, you must have completed the Stronghold of Player Safety mini-quest, to make things go as fast as possible.

This is a picture of the Crevice that will lead you into room 1.

This is a Mini-Map view to help you orient yourself. Remember, it is just south of Edge!
Method 1, Maximum experience, and money.
Full rune (Rune Full helm, Rune Platebody, Rune Platelegs, Rune Kiteshield, Rune Scimitar)
Kiteshield can be exchanged with Rune Berserker, although it is suggested you have at least 20 of them in your bank to be effective and not have to keep recharging them.
Amulet of Power is recommended, but you can use an amulet of defense or strength if you prefer.
Gloves of any kind work, but Rune Gauntlets (Fist of Guthix reward) work best.
Cooked Lobsters in bank, estimated at least 2000 of them for one week, depends on level. Try out how long 500 lasts, and calculate from there.
Dragon slayer quest complete
Level 60+ in Attack, Defense, Strength is strongly suggested, as is 43+ prayer.
Explorer Ring (3) is very helpful

Inventory for Method 1. Remember to find the right amount of food so that you will not have to leave to soon, but will also not have to leave any drops.
Method 2, smaller start up cost, but takes longer.
Dragon slayer quest complete
3-4k feathers, and a fly fishing rod
20 fishing, 30 makes for longer runs (Good thing)
15 cooking required, if you only have 20 fishing, 25 cooking is you have 30 fishing, Suggested at least 60 cooking for either, to maximize time spent killing
Level 60+ in Attack, Defense, Strength is strongly suggested, as is 43+ prayer.
Explorer Ring (3) is very helpful

This is the suggested inventory for Method 2. I do not have accurate numbers for the amount of feathers needed to last a week, so please, any help will be appreciated.

This is a picture of what a F2P player should be wearing for fighting roaches. I do not have boots, but they can be worn.
OPTIONAL: For both methods, you should bring a chisel for the gem drops, if you have the necessary crafting level. This puts some skills other than fighting in there, and keeps you from getting (as) bored.
Lootshare clan techniques will also be discussed.
Method 1
For this method, you need some money to start with, or you could just get your own supplies. It is very simple really, you need 2k cooked lobbys in bank, and what you do is, wear your full rune, ammy of choice (Mage ammy is not of any use, so you should not wear it) and if you have it, the explorer's ring (3) so you can save space.
Start at edgeville bank, and withdraw a full inventory of lobsters, then put 3 back, this is just an estimate, you may have to but as many as 5 back, if you are a higher level, and lower levels may need to withdraw a full inventory of them.
Run south to the Crevice next to the little school building, and enter the crevice. If you are going to kill Roaches alone, I suggest you stay off the lootshare worlds, and you can normally get the roaches in the room you enter directly from the crevice (Room 1) all to yourself. Just begin killing roaches, I say to use a scimitar because while you may hit harder with a 2H, scimitar hits more regularly, and is better in the long run. If you get a Mithril Med Helm drop, I suggest using one of your 30 a day low alchemy spells from your Explorer's Ring (3) so you do not waste bank space, and you get some magic experience. If you are camping, only use alchemy on the Runite drops, such as Rune Scimitar and Sq. Shield (They supposedly drop Rune Battle Axe's, but in my time I have never gotten one) so that you save you runes for something useful. All the other drops (Other than Mith Helm and gems, which are not common enough to worry about) stack, so it is ok to keep most of it to bank. If you want to bring some strength potions, you may, but they are about as helpful as the spells I listed.
Once you run out of food, you can use prayer, and then bank. I suggest that you recharge prayer at the monastery just to the west, and ask the monks there to heal you so you do not waste food.
As I said, pretty simple, kill, bank, heal, repeat.
MEMBERS TIPS
If you can afford it, keep full guthans handy and kill the Cockroach workers just out side of Room 1 to heal yourself and maximize drops.
Do not bother with a ring of wealth, it will not help with these drops, instead wear your favorite ring, or if you want to be practical, wear an Explorer's Ring (3) for the same reason as F2P (To low alch cheap drops)
Method 2
This method will help you work on skills other than just fighting. The main idea of this method is that instead if paying 200+ gp for a lobby, you can spend 6gp at most for your own fish. The reason that 60+ cooking is suggested is because at that point you should not burn anything but the stray salmon.
This method trains 1:Whatever combat skill you choose (Attack, Defense, Strength) 2:Fishing and 3:Cooking.
To begin this method, you start by wearing the same items as the last method, but instead of lobsters in your inventory, all you have is your fly fishing rod and all of your feathers. You start east of barbarian village at the fishing hole here. Fish a full load of salmon and trout and then run to the helm shop (My preference) and cook your food over the endless fire there. Eat some cooked fish until you are fully healed or are within 10% of full health, then go back and fish more, until you have less than 5 inventory slots (Not including your rod and feathers) left, then you run straight around the west side of the walls there and go to the Crevice. Once there, start killing roaches, until you run out of food. Then if you feel that you have enough inventory slots open, you can go fish again and then return (After cooking fish) to fight more. If you use prayer with this method then after you cook the fish, you can run over to the monastery and replenish your prayer.
For maximum time spent fighting, do not bother dropping trout even though it heals less. If you see some salmon on the ground though, you can pick it up if you have room.
MEMBERS TIPS
Once again, Guthans will help.
If you have level 38 fishing and at least 35 cooking (Higher always equals better) you can use stripey feathers and fishing Rainbow fish. Picture below.
Because this is a multi-combat area, you can also bring a familiar with you to help fight. A Melee or Range style combat familiar is your best choice, but you could also just have a pack animal to store more food.

LOOTSHARE TECHNIQUES
First of all, if you are going to do lootshare at the roaches, it changes all the rules. With lootshare it is possible to make 50% more money from drops than fighting alone.
The most people that should ever be on a lootshare clan for the roaches is 5. This is a good number if all of the members of the clan are at least level 100+ combat. Otherwise the drops are to slow in coming and to spread out.
Also 2 people (It does work, but not that well) is a bad idea, because you end up not getting the kills fast enough and the splits are a little to much in favor of the other person, no matter which one you are
Another advantage to lootshare is that while you are fighting, even if you are with people that are much stronger than you, you can still get the drops.
If you are going to work with a team, you need 1 person with a scimitar, 1 person with a 2H (I know I know, I will explain in a second) and then 1 more with a war hammer or other Crush style weapon. The reason I say that you should have a 2H here is because if you are alone, it is to slow, but while you are here, the person with the scimitar can keep up steady damage, and the 2H can hit hard.
The war hammer (Or other Crush weapon) is because Roaches are weak against crush attacks. So this will help you kill them faster. All members of the clan should have their own food supply, and not some runner that gives food out.
Hey, don't be greedy, take turns tanking, this will let each of you heal some, so you can stay down longer than if you all fought alone.
Both methods can work with lootshare, but if you are going to fight on a lootshare world, Room 1 almost always has people there, and unless you are sure that you clan can hit more than the other ones, just go north and go down the stairs. This is Room 2, and it is usually empty of all but the stray person. Room 2 has about 7 (Confirm please) roaches in it, as well as plenty of level 8 Cockroach Drones, if you want to kill them.
Remember, if it seems like you are not getting any drops, it either means that you just got a high drop (Runite Items mostly) or that you are about to get one. So if your friend keeps getting drops, and you feel that it is unfair, wait ten minutes at most, and you will have another rune toy with you.
None of the drops (F2P or P2P) from roaches will split if you use coinshare, so it make no difference.
A Cockroach Soldier has 97 Hp so it gives about 400 xp in your combat choice for each kill.
Cockroach Workers drop Nature runes if you are running out.
MISCELLANEOUS TIPS
Use the ores you get, you can make them into bars which sell for more than the ore alone. You also get smithing experience from this.
Bring nature runes, so you can kill "Cockroach Drones" (the lowest level ones.) which drop coal, and then you can superheat your own bars, and still make a profit.
MEMBERS TIPS
A member can make about 10 mil if they use the first method, and they get lucky. 5 mil would not be hard, and 3 mil would be if they were unlucky.
If you do decide to fight roaches for extended periods, keep the Mithril and/or Adamant the ores and use it/them at the blast furnace, so you can get exp that way as well as not have to waste the ores.
Save your Crimson Charms! Cockroach Soldiers are famous for their high drop rate of crimson charms, used for summoning.
Bunyip Pouches (68 Summoning required) are also a good way to maximize the length of your bug exterminating forays. With this familiar you will be healed at a steady rate. This way you can worry more about what drops you will be keeping, and less on how much food you have.
Here is a guide, written by "Reapzor" that gives great tips for P2P.

The inventory translates to:
Red dots - Strawberries(5)
Yellow dots - empty space

And wielded items translate to:

After this was taken I switched the defender for an obsidian shield, for more defence bonuses. The concept is to retain high offensive strength while still having high defensive bonuses. Thus the Torag armour, and the shield.
Head to the cockroaches down the rift (Just north of the security house), and if the three by the rope are empty, set up shop there. Pick up mainly law runes and crimson charms at first, and as you get more free inventory space pick up mithril ores, and all the other goodies. If the triple roaches are crowded, pull the big lever. If it says "you hear locks falling into place", pull it again. Otherwise, go out the small room, and east down the stairs, and through the small door. There are more roaches there. If, yet again, it is too crowded, head back out the door and kill the roaches in that area.
Average profit with 89 attack, 87 strength and 80 defence is about 380-450K per trip gross profit. After you are done, teleport out to the GE, and sell your profits (about 200-300 law runes, 100-300 mithril ores, 10-30 adamant ores, a few hundred fire runes(I don't pick them up), 70-100 crimson charms, 1-4 rune items, and occasionally a ranarr seed). I got 20 summoning levels doing this and still cut a profit.
OK, Hope this guide helps you fight roaches again soon. If you see something wrong with it, feel free to Pm me or post. Most of what I have said comes from experience of fighting roaches, both as a F2P player and a P2P player. Again, thank you to all that have helped me write this guide, or just make it better over all.
I also would love if some one could get me a few pictures for the members sections. At this moment I would like a picture of 1: 1k stripey feathers and a fly fishing rod, with a chisel in your inventory. 2: A picture of your "Worn Equipment" tab, while wearing Full Guthans, Amulet of glory or fury, dragon boots, and dragon gloves (Unless guthans has gloves) with dragon scimitar/war hammer/Dagger (p)++, bunyip pouch, with the rest of the inventory minus 5 slots full of sharks/sea turtles/monkfish in inventory (Separate pic if you please). 3:A picture of a dragon scimitar drop being split over coinshare. This is to help make the P2P sections more in depth, so that it is easier for P2P players to jump right into fighting,
High def pic versions of all of the pics I have would also be appreciated. If anyone wants to clean up the images, I do not know how, then feel free to, but please Pm me through Runehq with the results, instead of posting them here.
