On Saturday the 24th of July at 8pm GMT, 9pm UK time, 1 PM PST, 2 PM Mountain, 3 PM Central. Rune Headquarters will be hosting our section of a new RuneScape tournament. The tournament has been organized with Rune Wiki and see's the members of RuneHQ, Tip-it and RS Wiki go head to head in the first of a series of battles to determine the Champions of RuneScape.

The first set of Battles will take place in the Soul Wars Arena and the first of those will see RuneHQ go up against RS Wiki in the opening salvo of the competition. Further battles will follow. Please see battle timetable below. The first set of Battles will be hosted in RuneHQ Chat channels. A further 3 battles will be hosted by Tip-it with RS Wiki hosting the final 3 battles.

Please note, although it is a competition, this is being run as a fun event and although we all want to win it overall, we do not want members having a go at members of the other sites on battle days. Anyone found taking this too seriously and being abusive will be kicked from the chat. If you continue you may also get a ban from the site. So come along and support your favorite site and have fun showing the other sites just how good we are.

Relaxing in the Pools All Day!

It's okay, we aren't starting a sing song, well not yet anyway...

While July is often fun and exciting, it seems that the month becomes drearier as it goes along. How so you ask? Well, for one thing, the somewhat hospitable temperatures of the early summer give way to the unbearable heat of August. Meanwhile, those on break from school see their remaining time away dwindle before their eyes. And for those older individuals who've taken a mid-summer getaway, they are now faced with the agony of sitting around an office for the next couple months.

However, no example is more fitting than the 4th of July. For Americans, this particular day is filled with celebrations, food, and festive events. And to top it off, the day is capped with with an inspiring display of fireworks. But, sadly within an hour, nothing remains of the once beautiful spectacle. Soon the sky clears, and the smoke within the air drifts away, marking the end. However, within the next few days, the same air welcomes a new guest. And no folks... it's not a bird, it's not a plane, and it's certainly not Superman. Instead, it's the aroma of a barbecue.

So with that, we present to you our last event of the month, our P2P Barbecue. And in an attempt to combat the glum feelings that may have consumed you over the past few week or two, we've tried to make it as interesting as possible. Instead of simply having another barbecue consisting of beef or chicken, we've decided to have all of you eat chompy. And for those of you who find the exotic food too strange to swallow, we'll also be hosting other activities including woodcutting, slaying, hunting, and fishing. So go on ahead, and dust off your composite bow, buy some brutal arrows, and let's end the month with a BANG!

ET Dungeon Massacre

Cue the dramatic music, Lights, Camera, Actiiiooonnnnn.

It's all go here in the Events Team as we gear up for a repeat of our biggest and deadliest ever dungeon raid. That's right, Youll be facing Dragons of all sorts, as well as other huge creatures trying to rip the flesh from your bones. Dog's will gnaw at you to get you out into the open so the rest of the beasts can catch and devour you.

However, the rewards are well worth the risk as you carry your haul of hides and bones and other such drops back to your bank and rake in the money, as well as getting a few skills up maybe. So, where are we going this time. We will be heading out into the Brimhaven dungeon, just south of the Brimhaven portal and farming patch. But that's not all, remember the 1st time we went there ? remember fighting dragons to the sounds of battle themes from Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Mission Impossible, well, we are doing it all again so make sure you tune in to Radio 1 on runehq as you battle the monsters and Demons of this vast dungeon. And carry out the spoils of war as the battle themes ring all around.

A prayer for the Dragons

Wanting something to do with all those Dragon bones that you got from the Dungeon massacre in Brimhaven ?? Read on then....

Ever been envious of other players with high prayer? Or seen someone do the prayer cape emote and thought "I want that !!!" Well we are giving you all the chance to get yourself the maximum prayer points possible outside of the Port Phasmatys Ectofuntus and it's bone crusher. Even then, the difference between the bonecrusher and a gilded altar with maxed out burners running is very little. A certain member of staff from your beloved RuneHQ has volunteered to open up their house for one day only and let all of you in to get your prayer points up as far as you can manage. The staff POH details will be posted just before the weekend to avoid getting hit en masse with friend requests.
